Navien Tankless Water Heater Installation & Replacement in the Las Vegas Valley
At Water Heaters Today LLC, we specialize in Navien Tankless Water Heater Installation With Models Such As The NPE-A2 Series. Unlike other companies that install the cheaper “Standard” models to cut costs, we install the Advanced Series with built-in ComfortFlow® technology.
This eliminates the “cold water sandwich” effect that plagues lesser tankless installs. We don’t just upgrade your water heater; we upgrade your lifestyle.
Keep Your Home's Hot Water Endless with Navien
Switching to tankless shouldn’t mean waiting 2 minutes for hot water. If you want the efficiency of tankless with the instant comfort of a tank, Navien is the answer – but only if you choose the right model.
In Las Vegas, “hard water” destroys copper heat exchangers. That is why we recommend Navien. They utilize Dual Stainless Steel Heat Exchangers, which resist mineral corrosion far better than the copper found in competitor brands.
Water Heaters Today LLC is your local Navien Tankless Installation Service Specialist. We understand that a high-efficiency condensing unit is a complex machine that requires specific venting and drainage.
We don’t waste time; we assess your gas line (Navien is the only unit that can often use your existing 1/2″ pipe), install the required condensate neutralizer, and program the internal recirculation pump to ensure your hot water is ready when you are.
Signs Your Water Heater Needs Replacement
If you are currently relying on an old tank or a failing tankless unit, look for these signs. They often indicate that sinking money into repairs is a losing battle.
Signs could easily be:
- Leaking Heat Exchanger: If your current tankless is dripping from the bottom of the case, the internal acids have eaten through the metal. This is non-repairable.
- Error Code E003 (Ignition Failure): On older units, this often means the gas valve or igniter is worn out beyond reliable use.
- Inconsistent Temperatures: If you get a burst of cold water in the middle of a hot shower (the “Cold Water Sandwich”), your current unit lacks a buffer tank.
- Rumbling/Vibrating: Scale buildup on the fan or burner assembly has unbalanced the system.
- High Energy Bills: An old atmospheric tank wastes gas keeping water hot 24/7. A Navien only burns gas when you open the tap.
How We Install & Replace Your Navien Unit
Installing a condensing tankless unit requires more than just connecting pipes. It requires upgrading your home’s infrastructure to handle high-efficiency exhaust.
- Gas Line Verification: Navien units can often run on existing 1/2″ gas lines (up to 24′), saving you thousands on repiping costs. We verify your pressure to confirm this is safe.
- PVC Venting: We replace dangerous metal vents with Schedule 40 PVC or Polypropylene to handle the cool, acidic exhaust gases safely.
- Condensate Management: These units produce acidic water. We install a Condensate Neutralizer to treat this liquid before it enters your home’s drain, protecting your pipes from corrosion.
- Recirculation Setup: We program the internal ComfortFlow® pump to circulate hot water to your furthest fixtures, so you aren’t wasting water waiting for it to get hot.

Have Any Questions?
The NPE-A2 (Advanced) series has a built-in recirculation pump and a small buffer tank inside the unit. The NPE-S2 (Standard) does not. Without that buffer tank, you will experience “cold water sandwiches”—bursts of cold water when you turn the faucet off and back on quickly. In our opinion, the “A” series is the only way to get a true luxury experience.
Not always. One of Navien’s biggest advantages is its ability to operate on 1/2″ gas lines (negative pressure gas valve). Other brands require a dedicated 3/4″ line, which can cost thousands to retrofit. We perform a load calculation to see if your current meter can handle the load without an upgrade.
Navien units are so efficient (0.96 UEF) that the exhaust gas cools down and turns into liquid water (condensate). This liquid is acidic (like vinegar) and can eat through your home’s cast iron or copper drain pipes. The neutralizer filters this acid so it is safe to drain.
“Tankless” means endless hot water, not necessarily instant. However, because we install the NPE-A2 with ComfortFlow®, we can use the built-in pump to circulate hot water to your faucets faster than a standard tankless, significantly reducing your wait time.
We understand the technology we sell. While other plumbers treat a tankless install like a tank swap, we treat it like a system upgrade. We know how to program the dip switches on the Navien board for Las Vegas altitude and how to set the recirculation timer so you aren’t wasting gas at 3 AM. We bring the Navien Advanced Series technology to your home, ensuring you get the performance you paid for.
