Bradford White Water Heater Repair
At Water Heaters Today LLC, we are the Bradford White Water Heater Repair Specialists you need in the Las Vegas Valley. We understand the specific “blink codes” of the ICON System™ and we stock the OEM parts required to get your hot water running again.
Whether it’s a simple thermopile failure or a complex gas valve lockout, we diagnose it correctly the first time.
We Keep Your Home's Bradford White Water Heater Running
Bradford White units are built to be the best, but Las Vegas hard water tests them to their limit. The unique “Defender Safety System®” on these units is sensitive to dust and lint, often causing the pilot light to suffocate and go out.
Water Heaters Today LLC is your local water heater repair expert for maintaining these high-performance machines. From cleaning the ScreenLok® flame arrestor to replacing the specific magnesium anode rods that protect the tank.
We don’t waste time; we carry the specialized parts in our trucks so you aren’t waiting days for a supply house order.
Signs Your Bradford White Water Heater Needs Repair
Unlike older units, your Bradford White usually tells you exactly what is wrong via the Green LED Status Light on the gas control valve. Before you call, count the flashes.
Signs could easily be:
- Status Light Flashing 6 Times: This indicates “Pilot Flame Loss.” In Las Vegas, this is often due to a failing thermopile or a dirty pilot assembly.
- Status Light Flashing 7 Times: This is a “Gas Valve Failure” or “Flammable Vapor Sensor Lockout.” This often requires a full valve replacement.
- Pilot Light Won’t Stay Lit: If you have to hold the knob down forever and it still goes out, the Thermal Switch may have tripped due to lack of air (common in dusty garages).
- Status Light Flashing 2 Times: “Weak Pilot Signal.” Your thermopile is dying and needs replacement.
- Rumbling Sounds: The Hydrojet® system is overwhelmed by sediment, and the tank needs a professional flush.
How We Repair Your Bradford White Water Heater
Our repair process starts with interpreting the ICON System™ diagnostics.
We don’t guess; we read the computer. Our water heater specialists then test the millivolt output of your thermopile and inspect the combustion chamber for air intake blockages.
We guarantee the repair using only OEM Bradford White parts. Universal parts often do not fit the specific threads or safety tolerances of the Defender System.
After completing the repair, we perform a draft test to ensure the unit is venting dangerous carbon monoxide outside your home safely.
Our Commitment to Quality Bradford White Repair Services
At Water Heaters Today, we treat your Bradford White unit with the respect a professional-grade appliance deserves.
Our team understands that replacing a gas valve on these units requires specific calibration. We also know that if your tank is leaking from the steel bottom, no repair will save it and we will be honest about that.
We use only authentic parts to preserve your remaining factory warranty.
With our expertise, your Bradford White water heater in the Las Vegas Valley will continue to provide the high-volume hot water it was designed for.

Have Any Questions?
Bradford White protects its reputation by selling only to licensed professionals through wholesale distributors. They do not want untrained individuals working on gas appliances. We have direct access to these supply houses and stock common parts like pilot assemblies and gas valves on our trucks.
The LED light is a heartbeat. One flash every 4 seconds is “Normal Operation” (Idle). One flash every second means the burner is actively heating. Error codes like 2, 4, 6, or 7 flashes indicate specific failures. Count the flashes and tell us when you call!
Bradford White units use a thermopile (a larger generator), not a standard thermocouple. However, the issue is often the Thermal Switch. If the air intake at the bottom of your water heater is clogged with dust or lint, the safety system overheats and cuts the pilot. We can clean the intake and replace the switch if needed.
The ICON System™ gas valve is an expensive, high-tech component. If your water heater is under 6 years old, it is usually under warranty (parts only), so you only pay for labor. If the unit is over 10 years old, the cost of the valve often makes replacing the entire unit a smarter financial decision.
We speak the language of your water heater. While other plumbers might try to jam a “universal” thermocouple into your Bradford White pilot assembly (which won’t work), we arrive with the correct integrated pilot/thermopile assembly designed for your specific model.
We understand the Defender Safety System® and how to keep it running safely in our dusty desert environment. When you hire us, you get the authorized service your professional-grade unit requires.
